Nationwide Meetup Tour kicks off across 13 Syrian cities
Startup Syria has announced the launch of the Startup Syria Meetup Tour 2025, a nationwide community initiative that will take place between 22 May and 3 June across 13 Syrian cities and regions.
The Startup Syria Meetups are community-led gatherings designed to bring together local founders, freelancers, and innovators in an open and informal setting.

About the Meetups
The Startup Syria Meetup Tour will reach Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Tartus, Latakia, Idlib, Azaz, Daraa, Suwayda, Deir ez-Zor, Hasakah, and Rif Dimashq.
Each event will be organized in collaboration with local partners and will include open discussions, short talks by entrepreneurs, and community mapping sessions.
- •Kickstart local startup communities and strengthen collaboration.
- •Surface the real needs of founders in each city.
- •Connect entrepreneurs with peers, mentors, and potential partners.
- •Build momentum for future Startup Syria programs.
Grassroots by design
The tour's decentralized model relies on local leadership. Startup Syria has trained a network of community organizers.
Meetups will take place in cafés, co-working spaces, and community hubs rather than formal venues.
What to Expect
Participants will take part in short talks, roundtable discussions, and hands-on activities such as ecosystem mapping and SWOT analysis. Sessions will explore:
- •The current state of the Syrian startup ecosystem.
- •Local challenges in funding, mentorship, and digital infrastructure.
- •Lessons from Syrian founders and diaspora experts.
- •Opportunities for collaboration across cities and sectors.
For many cities, this will be the first organized startup gathering of its kind.
