Together We Build: Startup Syria to host the first Global Entrepreneurship Week in Syria
Nationwide celebration of entrepreneurial innovation to take place between 22–28 November 2025
Syria is set to join the world's largest celebration of entrepreneurship for the first time as Startup Syria brings the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) to celebrate the country's entrepreneurial culture and debate some of the most pressing issues in business.
The theme for #GEW2025 is 'Together We Build', with activities planned across the country and around the world to open doors for anyone who has ever thought, 'Could I build something of my own?'
A Historic Partnership
As part of the partnership with the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Startup Syria will bring together thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, community leaders and the media for a week of workshops, pitch competitions, policy forums and networking side events.
Startup Syria invites anyone to participate in Global Entrepreneurship Week and to explore what's possible when they join mentors, peers, partners, and more to bring ideas to life and build something bigger than themselves.
It is a great opportunity to bring the Global Entrepreneurship Week to Syria and put the country back on the world's map of innovation.

Five Days, Five Themes
Local partners will play a key role in promoting five themes, each of which will be marked in a special day that highlights the entrepreneurial resilience and potential to rebuild the country after years of conflict-driven displacement, destruction and poverty.
GEW Syria will be held over five days, with the following themes:
- •Startup Launch Day: Celebrating bold ideas and new beginnings
- •Investment Day: Showcasing the role of diaspora, angels, and venture funds
- •Women's Day: Honoring women-led ventures and inclusive growth
- •AI Day: Exploring tech-driven solutions in health, agriculture, and education
- •Impact Day: Strategizing on sustainability and post-conflict recovery
Nationwide Reach
Syrian founders abroad have run some of the most successful ventures. Now, we want to see local Syrian entrepreneurs do the same to solve their country's most critical challenges. From education to healthcare, and from technology to AI, Syrians inside and outside the country can offer the best value to achieve that.
In addition to flagship events in Damascus, Startup Syria will hit the road with a nationwide tour, connecting local hubs in Aleppo, Homs, Daraa, Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, Latakia, Idlib, and beyond. Virtual sessions will link Syrian entrepreneurs with diaspora founders and international partners.
Join the Global Movement
By hosting GEW Syria, Startup Syria will give Syrian founders a platform to share their ideas, attract investment, and join a global movement of innovators.
Each November, 10 million people across 200 countries and territories take part in tens of thousands of Global Entrepreneurship Week activities, competitions, and events that inspire them to act and provide them with the knowledge, experience, and connections they need to succeed.
Our ambition is for this moment to send a clear statement that Syria is open to creativity. We invite investors and donors to stand with Syria's founders in their journey toward a more innovative, prosperous future.
