
Hack for Syria 2025: Thousands join national innovation hackathon
Startup Syria has announced the results of Hack for Syria 2025, a national innovation and entrepreneurship event which has brought together more than 5,000 Syrians from inside the country and across the global diaspora.
Held from 17–24 February 2025, Hack for Syria combined online participation with 11 in-person hubs in key Syrian cities.
Connecting Syrians everywhere
Hack for Syria event focused on six core areas essential to Syria's recovery: infrastructure, education, healthcare, food security, economic development, and social cohesion.
Throughout the week, participants joined 40 workshops and mentorship sessions led by 75 global experts and local mentors.
Demo Day: Showcasing Syria's ingenuity
The hackathon concluded with a Demo Day at the Damascus Opera House, where 16 finalist teams presented their solutions.
